Green Groups Rally Behind Pa. Waterfront Tax Credit Bill

Law360, Philadelphia (January 23, 2014, 2:03 PM EST) -- Witnesses from nonprofit waterfront improvement groups urged a Pennsylvania legislative committee Thursday to approve a bill that would provide $10 million annually in tax credits to private developers who throw financial support behind sector related public-use reclamation projects.

Leaders from nonprofits dedicated to reclaiming once-industrial riverfronts in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh testified that the measure would spur economic growth by ensuring that private waterfront development projects would be situated near high-quality public amenities, including parks and trails.
