Army Subcontractor In $697M Suit Seeks Lost Profits

Law360, Washington (January 17, 2014, 3:27 PM EST) -- Translation services provider Shee Atika Languages LLC urged a Virginia federal judge on Friday to force fellow contractor Global Linguist Solutions LLC to pay for breaching its $697 million subcontracting agreement for military translation services, alleging GLS only won the contract based on Shee Atika's involvement.

According to Shee Atika, GLS secured a hotly contested $4.64 billion U.S. Army contract for interpretation services thanks to its reliance on small-business contractors, but it refused to give the company enough work to meet the agreement's terms.
