Law360, San Diego (January 17, 2014, 11:08 PM EST) -- A California appeals court’s reversal Tuesday of a nurse’s jury win in a wrongful termination case against Western Medical Center gave a boost to employers by extending to certain retaliation cases the heightened standard of proof for plaintiffs in discrimination disputes laid out in the California Supreme Court’s February decision in Harris v. Santa Monica, lawyers say.
