NY AG, Gov. Divvy Up Chunk Of $613M JPMorgan Settlement

Law360, New York (January 21, 2014, 6:09 PM EST) -- New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday agreed to split a portion of a $613 million securities settlement with JPMorgan Chase & Co., resolving a dispute between the two officials.

Schneiderman announced that his office and the governor's office would split $163 million of New York State's portion of JPMorgan's $13 billion November settlement with federal and state regulators and law enforcement agencies over the bank's mortgage lending and securitization practices.
