$3M Settlement With AMN Should Be Approved, Ex-Nurses Say

Law360, New York (January 21, 2014, 4:49 PM EST) -- Two plaintiffs behind a class action against several units of AMN Healthcare Services Inc. filed a motion Monday urging a California federal judge to approve a $3 million settlement for nurses who were allegedly made to skip lunch breaks and work unpaid overtime.

Christopher O'Sullivan and Alice Ogues, acting on behalf of more than 11,000 nurses and other medical employees, reached the settlement with San Diego-based AMN in July, and Judge Joseph C. Spero granted it preliminary approval in September.
