McElroy Partner Won't Defend Christie Aide Due To Conflict

Law360, New York (January 22, 2014, 7:13 PM EST) -- Due to a conflict with his service on a New Jersey election commission, a McElroy Deutsch Mulvaney & Carpenter LLP partner this week withdrew from representing the former aide to Gov. Chris Christie, who was fired after emails linked her to the ongoing “Bridgegate” controversy.

According to a Tuesday report in The Star-Ledger, Walter Timpone, a partner in McElroy’s Morristown, N.J., office, will no longer be representing Bridget Anne Kelly, who served as Christie’s deputy chief of staff beginning in April 2013 until she was fired...
