Three Bills Aim To Raise Ceiling On Worker Visas

Law360 (March 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Lawmakers in the U.S. House of Representatives have put forth three bills that would raise the cap on the number of worker visas allowed each year, shedding light on the issue of legal immigration just weeks before the number of applications is expected to soar past the limit for the second time in a row.

In the two days after Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates urged Congress urged to make more worker visas available, lawmakers unveiled three measures that would move towards granting his demand.
