Class Counsel In $300M Forced-Place Deal Push For Approval

Law360, Miami (February 14, 2014, 9:06 PM EST) -- Attorneys for a class of homeowners suing JPMorgan Chase NA and Assurant Inc. over their forced-place insurance business, which was allegedly overpriced because of kickbacks between insurers and lenders, on Friday defended their $300 million settlement with the defendants and urged a Florida federal judge to approve it.
