EU Court Adviser Says Spanish Airline Can Charge For Bags

Law360, New York (January 23, 2014, 4:56 PM EST) -- Spanish airline Vueling Airlines SA can charge passengers for checked baggage because a Spanish law preventing airlines from levying the extra fee is incompatible with EU law, an adviser to the European Union’s highest court said Thursday.
