High Court Won't Hear Casino's Case Over Union Rally

Law360, New York (March 17, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court said on Monday that it will not hear an appeal by Venetian Casino Resort LLC of the National Labor Relations Board's decision that the casino broke the law by broadcasting a message warning demonstrators they were trespassing and by attempting a citizen’s arrest of a union official during a rally.

An attorney for the casino could not immediately be reached for comment. The Supreme Court gave no reason for its decision, following its usual practice.
