Raytheon Keeps Contested $279M Navy Jammer Contract

Law360, Washington (January 27, 2014, 2:51 PM EST) -- The U.S. Navy on Friday reconfirmed Raytheon Co. as the prime contractor on a $279.4 million contract to develop a next-generation electronic jamming system, saying it is sticking with the company despite an upheld protest by another bidder.

Although the U.S. Government Accountability Office sustained BAE Systems PLC's protest and ordered a re-evaluation of the three bids for the contract back in November, the Navy didn't switch contractors, and Raytheon says it's ready to resume its work on the massive project.
