Copyright Players Spar Over Digital World's Legal Landscape

Law360, New York (January 27, 2014, 8:42 PM EST) -- Major industry groups and other stakeholders pushed their views on copyright reform in comments published by the U.S. Department of Commerce last week, squaring off over notice-and-takedown, statutory damages and other hot-button issues. 

Among those filing the latest comments on the Commerce Department's July green paper on copyright policy were the Motion Picture Association of America, the Recording Industry Association of America, the Center for Internet and Society, the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the Software Alliance and the Association of American Publishers.
