Quentin Tarantino Sues 'Predatory' Gawker Over Script Leak

Law360, New York (January 27, 2014, 1:51 PM EST) -- Director Quentin Tarantino sued Gawker Media for copyright infringement Monday in California federal court over the digital media company's publication of a leaked screenplay for his upcoming Western “The Hateful Eight,” blasting the company for “predatory journalism.”

Tarantino's complaint said Gawker's Defamer blog crossed the line from journalism to copyright theft when it published links to a copy of his entire script last week. He says the site refused to quickly remove the content when contacted.
