Coast Guard Shipbuilder Escapes Sanctions In Insurance Row

Law360, Washington (January 27, 2014, 5:32 PM EST) -- A Louisiana federal judge on Friday refused to sanction Bollinger Shipyards Inc. for purportedly inadequate discovery responses in a coverage spat with XL Specialty Insurance Co. for a now-dismissed False Claims Act suit over modifications the shipbuilder made to U.S. Coast Guard boats, criticizing both sides for their vague and confusing communication.
