White House Asks High Court To Hear Whistleblower Appeal

Law360, Washington (January 28, 2014, 1:20 PM EST) -- The Obama administration on Monday asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review and reverse the Federal Circuit's finding that government whistleblowers are protected by federal law unless their disclosures explicitly are prohibited by statute, saying the ruling would encourage federal employees to make disclosures threatening public safety.
