Judge Won't Free Ex-NASA Contractor In Iran Satellite Case

Law360, New York (January 31, 2014, 10:19 PM EST) -- A Maryland federal judge on Friday declined to release a former NASA contractor serving a lengthy prison term for accepting $10 million in exchange for providing satellite technology trade secrets to Iran.

U.S. District Judge Peter J. Messitte rejected Nadar Modanlo's motion asking to be freed pending the outcome of his appeal efforts in a brief decision issued Friday.
