'Crash' Director Drives Home With $12M Award

Law360, Los Angeles (February 3, 2014, 6:50 PM EST) -- A California appeals court on Friday sided with screenwriter and director Paul Haggis, actor Brendan Fraser, and another writer of the Academy Award-winning film “Crash" in their breach-of-contract and compensation suit against Persik Productions Inc., finding that a district court’s award of $12 million to the trio should stand.
