Dissatisfied, Delphi Investors Appeal Deloitte Ruling

Law360 (January 23, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- Delphi Corp. shareholders refuse to take no for an answer. Investors in the embattled auto parts maker have appealed last week’s ruling, which allowed a Deloitte & Touche audit of the company’s 2005 books, alleging that the firm signed off on accounting improprieties.

The appeal claims that Deloitte is not competent enough to audit Delphi’s books, and that the bankruptcy court should not have rejected a shareholder bid to question Delphi executives about their role in the alleged accounting fraud at the company.
