Lockheed Wants Enviro Cleanup Trial Testimony Tossed

Law360, New York (February 7, 2014, 6:19 PM EST) -- Just three days before its $100 million environmental cleanup suit against the U.S. heads to trial, Lockheed Martin Corp. asked a Washington, D.C., federal judge on Friday to trash U.S. expert testimony the company claims includes new information and opinions.

In a motion to strike certain testimony, Lockheed said several of the United States’ expert witnesses disclosed new information in the government’s trial binders in clear violation of the Federal Rules. These changes were substantive, Lockheed said, and were not made with adequate prior notice....
