Sprint Reaches $3.4M Settlement In Hidden-Fee Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (February 7, 2014, 10:20 PM EST) -- A class of Sprint Communications Co. LP customers on Friday asked a Georgia federal judge to grant final approval to a settlement worth up to $3.4 million that would resolve allegations that it charged customers hidden fees unauthorized by their contracts.

The plaintiffs and class counsel filed a motion seeking final approval of the class settlement, which would allow 2.3 million affected Sprint customers to claim a $1 rebate. The settlement also calls for Sprint to pay $500,000 in attorneys' fees and expenses to class counsel,...
