T-Mobile Wins Ban On AT&T Unit's Color Scheme

Law360, New York (February 10, 2014, 10:40 PM EST) -- A federal judge has barred AT&T subsidiary Aio Wireless LLC from using a plum color scheme on the grounds that it likely infringes T-Mobile US Inc.'s iconic shade of magenta, a ruling experts say should serve as a resounding reminder that colors, when properly handled, can function as strong trademarks.
