Walgreen Misled Buyers Of Homeopathic Remedies, Suit Says

Law360, New York (February 11, 2014, 3:45 PM EST) -- Walgreen Co. misleads consumers by failing to tell them that homeopathic earache remedies are diluted to the point of ineffectiveness, according to a putative class action removed by the company to California federal court on Monday.

Plaintiffs Danielle Demison and Teri Spano alleged in a December complaint, filed in Los Angeles County state court, that Walgreen, through its Walgreens stores and online, sells homeopathic ear pain products including Ear Pain Relief and Ear Ache Drops that don’t work and are misleadingly portrayed as effective.
