Law360, Los Angeles (February 13, 2014, 8:32 PM EST) -- Twentieth Century Fox Film Corp. ducked parts of a contract-breach and copyright-infringement suit levied by owners of the “Alvin and the Chipmunks” enterprise over a film adaptation, after a California judicial referee found Tuesday that Fox’s payments were advances.
