Suit Against Deutsche Bank CEO To Move Forward

Law360, New York (January 25, 2006, 12:00 AM EST) -- A media tycoon’s allegations that Deutsche Bank AG’s chairman helped bankrupt his company through remarks in a news interview will be heard in court, after a federal judge in Germany allowed the case to move forward.

Kirch Media Group Founder Leo Kirch sued Deutsche Chief Rolf Breuer after his company’s April 2002 freefall into insolvency. The suit accused Breuer and the bank of being part of a conspiracy to destroy his company by suggesting banks had lost confidence in the firm.
