First Claimant In NYC Crane Accident Seeks $30M

Law360, New York (March 25, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The brother of a construction worker who died when a crane collapsed in Midtown Manhattan has indicated his intent to sue both New York City and its Department of Buildings for more than $30 million in damages.

In a notice of claim filed Monday, Bay Shore, N.Y., resident Christopher Canzona said the crane accident and the wrongful death of his brother were caused partly by the city's negligence.
