Apple, Twitter Accused Of Infringing Photo-Sharing Patent

Law360, Los Angeles (February 18, 2014, 8:16 PM EST) -- A Texas company on Tuesday accused Apple Inc., Twitter Inc., HTC Corp. and other mobile technology giants of infringing its patents for the software programming that allows users to easily share photos with one another.

Summit 6 LLC filed its complaint in Texas federal court on Tuesday alleging that Apple, HTC, Twitter, LG Electronics Inc. and Motorola Corp. were leaching off its photo-uploading invention, asking the court to award it damages in the form of royalties, according to the suit.
