NTSB Urges More Metro-North Safety Changes Post-Crash

Law360, New York (February 19, 2014, 6:46 PM EST) -- The National Transportation Safety Board pushed New York's Metro-North Railroad on Tuesday to make more systematic safety changes in the wake of a deadly December train crash, saying the steps it has taken so far are not enough.

The federal agency is investigating a Dec. 1 accident in which a commuter train with a dozing engineer sped off the tracks while traveling nearly three times the speed limit. The derailment in the Bronx killed four people and injured more than 60.
