NYC Bar Backs Tougher Ethics Laws, Women's Equality Bill

Law360, New York (February 19, 2014, 2:55 PM EST) -- A legislative blueprint published Wednesday by the New York City Bar Association shows the group backs stronger public ethics laws, a women's equality agenda that sharply divided the Legislature last year and a $130 million loan program for state homeowners having trouble paying their mortgages.

The 24,000-member group said its priorities were focused "on issues that are relevant to the current legislative debate or of particular importance to the City Bar," noting also that it helped draft the mortgage bridge loan bill, S. 5035.
