Insurer Backs More Arbitration In $15M Lance Armstrong Row

Law360, New York (February 21, 2014, 8:24 PM EST) -- Prize insurer SCA Promotions Inc., which is seeking more than $15 million in sanctions against cyclist Lance Armstrong for his use of performance-enhancing drugs during his Tour de France racing days, on Wednesday asked a Texas judge to force continued arbitration of the matter.

In December Armstrong asked a Texas court to overrule an arbitration panel that said it has jurisdiction to reconvene a panel that ended in 2006 after Armstrong reached a settlement with SCA, under which the insurer paid about $7.5 million to Armstrong...
