EU High Court To Hear Challenge To Antitrust Raids

Law360, New York (February 25, 2014, 5:52 PM EST) -- The European Union's highest court will hear a challenge Wednesday to the scope of the European Commission's dawn raids as cable manufacturer Nexans SA tries to convince the court that the watchdog's surprise antitrust search cast an overly broad geographic net.

The EU's General Court already handed Nexans and fellow cable maker Prysmian SpA a partial victory in late 2012, when it ruled that the EC didn't have enough evidence to force them turn over information about all of their cable businesses during a cartel raid....
