Movie Art Co. Dodges Harsh Sanctions In Marilyn Monroe Feud

Law360, New York (February 25, 2014, 7:58 PM EST) -- A New York magistrate judge overseeing a dispute concerning the intellectual property for Marilyn Monroe ruled Monday that movie artwork publisher AVELA Inc. hadn't properly complied with discovery obligations, but for the time being denied the strong sanctions requested by Monroe's estate.
