Philip Seymour Hoffman Pal Settles Over False Tabloid Report

Law360, New York (February 26, 2014, 11:48 AM EST) -- A friend of Philip Seymour Hoffman settled a $50 million libel suit over a false National Enquirer report that said he and the deceased actor were lovers, with his lawyer confirming the deal will see the tabloid parent American Media Inc. fund a play production effort.
