House Floats 2 Bills To Boost Small-Business Contracting

Law360, New York (February 26, 2014, 5:56 PM EST) -- The House Small Business Committee introduced two bills Wednesday that could boost small businesses' chances in competing for federal contracts, by raising the government's small business contracting goals and requiring more transparency in consolidated contracts that can leave smaller companies at a disadvantage.

Committee Chairman Sam Graves, R-Mo., said that both bills, if passed, would help level the playing field for small businesses hoping to compete for federal contracts.
