An Inside Look At 1st Cross-State Online Gambling Deal

Law360, New York (February 27, 2014, 8:57 PM EST) -- To craft the country's first deal to share online gamblers across state borders, the attorneys guiding Delaware and Nevada faced several state and federal law challenges. 

The deal, which is both a precedent-setting template for future partnerships and an invitation for other states to come on board, had to steer clear of violating federal and state laws involving taxes, compacts and more, while still creating a solid framework that could potentially last decades, attorneys involved in the negotiations said.
