Intevac Deal Offers A Warning On 'Deemed Export' Rules

Law360, New York (February 27, 2014, 9:18 PM EST) -- A recent U.S. Department of Commerce settlement with Intevac Inc., which was accused of improperly releasing controlled technology information to a Russian employee, highlights the need for companies to consider so-called deemed export rules when they have foreign nationals on the payroll.
