Anonymous Examiner Rating Site Draws Criticism

Law360 (March 28, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Even the most experienced patent and trademark prosecutors sometimes find their applications assigned to U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examiners they have never faced before. The solution, for one patent attorney, was to create a Web site where attorneys could anonymously post reviews of examiners. But others say the main premise of the site, the anonymity of its posters, is the very reason it won’t work.
