Judge Won't Undo Class Cert. Denial In Jenny Craig Wage Row

Law360, Los Angeles (February 28, 2014, 6:15 PM EST) -- A California federal judge ruled Thursday that a recent state appeals court ruling didn't present an intervening change in controlling law warranting reconsideration of his denial of class certification in a wage-and-hour dispute between Jenny Craig Inc. and its employees.

U.S. District Judge Michael Anello rejected former Jenny Craig worker Nashonna Coleman's motion for reconsideration of his November decision to deny her bid for certification of several classes based on claims of off-the-clock work, unpaid overtime, meal and rest breaks, and other related violations.
