Motley Rice Sued For Malpractice Over Workers' Comp Rights

Law360, New York (March 4, 2014, 7:05 PM EST) -- Motley Rice LLC is facing a legal malpractice suit accusing it of preventing asbestos plaintiffs from pursuing workers' compensation claims by failing to notify employers, insurance carriers and a state agency after a settlement was reached with the companies.

The Charleston, S.C.-based law firm allegedly represented a host of plaintiffs in litigation over injuries resulting from work-related asbestos exposure, according to a complaint filed in South Carolina state court on Feb. 20.
