Army Awards Boeing $1.2B Contract For Apache Choppers

Law360, Los Angeles (March 4, 2014, 8:32 PM EST) -- The Boeing Co. has been awarded a $1.16 billion contract modification by the U.S. Army for the production of Apache helicopters and related support services, the U.S. Department of Defense announced Tuesday.

The Pentagon announced the deal in its daily digest of major weapons contracts. Under the terms of the modification to its existing contract for full-rate production of AH-64E Apache helicopters, Mesa, Ariz.-based Boeing will provide 72 remanufactured helicopter systems, ten new helicopters and six revamped crew trainers, along with logistics support and ground support...
