Rep. Floats Tax Credit Proposal For Employee Training

Law360, New York (March 12, 2014, 3:05 PM EDT) -- A U.S. representative from New York introduced legislation Tuesday that will give tax credits to employers who help pay for their workers' training.

The Job and Opportunity Bonus Tax Credit Act, sponsored by Rep. Dan Maffei, D-N.Y., was inspired by hiring concerns among employers in New York, who say they labor force available for hire often lacks the skills they need.
