'Love Machine' Songwriters Tell Jury EMI Owes Them $1.5M

Law360, Los Angeles (March 12, 2014, 3:39 PM EDT) -- Sound Oasis Productions LLC, a music publishing company representing the writers of The Miracles' hit “Love Machine,” told a California jury during opening statements Tuesday that EMI Music Publishing hasn't lived up to a co-publishing agreement and has improperly withheld $1.5 million in royalties on the song since 1999.
