Lockheed Scores $255M Army Contract For Guided Rockets

Law360, Los Angeles (March 14, 2014, 4:03 PM EDT) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. has secured a $255 million contract from the United States Army for production of a new allotment of guided all-weather rockets designed for fast deployment and a strike beyond that of conventional weapons, Lockheed announced Thursday.

According to Lockheed, guided Multiple Launch Rocket System rockets “greatly exceed” the required combat reliability rate and have established a reputation for affordability.
