Texas Appeals Court Affirms Land Buyer Can't Pay By Check

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 6:02 PM EDT) -- A Texas appellate court on Thursday axed a developer’s contract breach suit over a $2.3 million property buy that fell apart when it failed to pay in cash, saying that Texas title insurance regulations don't explicitly forbid sellers from turning away less-trustworthy forms of consideration.
