Data On 15,000 MTA Workers Reportedly In Sold CD Drive

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 8:47 PM EDT) -- A compact disc containing the personal information of about 15,000 employees of the MTA New York City Transit showed up inside a refurbished CD drive sold at a major retailer, the Associated Press reported Thursday. 

A security official with a Metropolitan Transportation Authority-approved vendor had bought the drive for personal use and found the CD inside, news reports said, citing a letter the MTA sent to the affected employees.
