Bertucci's Patrons Sue Over ADA Noncompliant Restaurants

Law360, New York (March 13, 2014, 6:24 PM EDT) -- A group of restaurant patrons launched a class action against Bertucci's Restaurant Corp. in Pennsylvania on Thursday, claiming that many of the company's restaurants do not comply with the Americans With Disabilities Act's accessibility requirements.

The class, which allegedly includes several thousand patrons, is led by New Jersey resident and paraplegic Jose Clemente, who argues that wheelchair-bound patrons are routinely discriminated against at Bertucci's restaurants, where the company has allegedly failed to bring its properties up to ADA standards.
