Google, Rescuecom Spar Over Trademark Use

Law360 (April 1, 2008, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal appellate court heard oral arguments Thursday in the trademark dispute between Google Inc. and computer services firm Rescuecom Corp., with attorneys on both sides fielding an onslaught of questions about trademark use and consumer confusion.

Edmund Gegan, attorney for the appellant Rescuecom, had barely started his prepared speech when the three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit started peppering him with questions in an attempt to find an analogy for the company’s trademark infringement allegations.
