Pharmacists Get 42 Months For 15-Year Medicaid Scam

Law360, New York (March 14, 2014, 1:23 PM EDT) -- Twin brothers who for 15 years ripped off Medicaid and private insurers at their New Jersey pharmacy received identical 42-month prison sentences on Thursday, closing the book on a brazen scheme to bill for drugs that were never dispensed.

William and Robert Carlucci, owners of the West Orange Pharmacy, were each fined $75,000 and ordered to pay $750,000 apiece in restitution as punishment for conspiracy to commit health care fraud, a charge they admitted to last year.
