Target Says Security Team Didn't Act On Signs Of Breach

Law360, Los Angeles (March 14, 2014, 4:05 PM EDT) -- Target Corp. said Thursday that its security team saw signs of suspicious activity during last year's massive data breach but decided to not take immediate action.

Target's investigation of the breach has revealed that, after hackers entered its network, a "small amount of their activity was logged" and was brought to the attention of the company's security team, which conducted an evaluation, according to Target spokeswoman Molly Snyder.
