Canon's $4.4M FLSA Settlement Wins Court Approval

Law360, New York (March 17, 2014, 3:51 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge granted preliminary approval for a $4.4 million settlement between Canon Business Solutions Inc. and a group of service technicians who alleged the company failed to pay overtime and docked workers for lunch breaks they didn’t take.

The plaintiffs in the class action asked District Judge John A. Kronstadt for preliminary approval of the agreement, which would resolve their wage-and-hour lawsuit against the office equipment manufacturer.
