Yerba Mate Maker Sued For Hiding Sugar Content

Law360, New York (March 18, 2014, 5:25 PM EDT) -- Organic food manufacturer Guayaki Sustainable Rainforest Products Inc. conceals sugar in its tea-like yerba mate products by calling the ingredient “organic evaporated cane juice” and passing the products off as healthier than they are, according to a putative class action removed to California federal court Monday.
